Dua Lipa risks the annoyance of Liverpool fans after she posted photos which suggest that she is supporting Arsenal despite earlier evidence that she is a committed Liverpool’s fan.
The Pop star has previously declared herself an “Honorary Liverpool fan” after her popular song “One Kiss” became an anthem among the Reds fans, but she’s an Arsenal fan.
The singer’s song is a staple of the matchday playlist, with the music often played before and after Liverpool’s games. It was constantly played by Stadium tannoys in a motion to better the atmosphere among Liverpool supporters.
Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp and his team even joined in with a performance following the Reds FA Cup semi-final triumph over Manchester City at Wembley Stadium last season, having first formed a rapport with the Grammy Award winner Dua Lipa in 2018.
Four years ago, when Liverpool played against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final in Kyiv Ukraine, the aforementioned Pop star performed the song live on the pitch before the match got underway.
The Song “One Kiss” which was produced by Kelvin Harris, was in its fifth week at No. 1 in the United Kingdom at that period of the final in Ukraine, with that unsurprisingly being the highlight of the pre-match song set for that Champions League final.
However, several Liverpool supporters may have been taken aback by the star singer’s Instagram stories on Saturday, 1st of April, 2023, where she indicated her backing for Arsenal.
The 27-year-old Albanian singer was in attendance at Emirates Stadium for the Gunner’s 4-1 triumph over Leeds United, and later shared an image of herself with Arsenal’s scarf on.
The singer once said of her impression of the sport; “I’m not a big fan of football, my little brother and my dad watch the sport”.
“I’ve never been to a football game apart from in PE and they would make me play football myself and I was terrible”.
This probably should not come as too big a shock as Dua Lipa is a Londoner with her family being followers of the North London club.

The Reds will be in action against Chelsea in the English Premier League on Tuesday, 4th of April, 2023, as Jurgen Klopp’s men will be looking forward to bouncing back from defeat against Manchester City.
