FC Schalke 04 have signed France International striker Bryan Lasme on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old French striker has joined the club on a free transfer from Arminia Bielefeld and has signed a contract that will keep him with the team until 2027.
In the summer of 2021, Lasme joined Arminia Bielefeld that was then in the Bundesliga. During his first season, he made 23 appearances and scored two goals.
In the latest campaign, the 24-year-old player demonstrated his versatility by playing on both wings and through the middle.
He managed to score and assist a total of 10 goals in 32 games in the Bundesliga 2.
Bryan possesses an impressive set of traits for a winger, including exceptional speed and power, which are complemented by his height of 1.94m.
André Hechelmann, the sporting director of FC Schalke 04, stated that Bryan provides the team “with additional flexibility in attack.”
The director of sports, further said: “During our discussions, Bryan has persuaded us that he will enhance our team, not only as a player but also as an individual.”
The head coach, Thomas Reis, agrees with the statement that Bryan frequently attempts to run deep and surpasses both opponents and the defensive line.
The coach said: “Bryan will assist us in generating opportunities against teams that defend deeply.
“Additionally, his dynamic and direct approach will prove to be effective in creating risky counterattacks.”
Meanwhile, Lasme is filled with excitement and anticipation as he prepares to begin his journey with the Royal Blues.
He expresses his pride in joining Schalke and acknowledges that this move marks a significant milestone in his career.

SC Paderborn midfielder Ron Schallenberg has joined The Royal Blues as their first summer acquisition.
The 24-year-old player has signed a contract that will last until the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
In addition, Marius Müller penned a contract that will keep him with the team until the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.
The new goalkeeper joined the Royal Blues from FC Luzern and will be wearing the number 32 shirt.
So far, Müller has played in 72 Bundesliga2 and 120 Swiss Super League games.
He will be the fourth goalkeeper in the S04 squad. However, the transfer details are confidential.
