Just hours before Tuesday’s preseason match against Manchester United, Liverpool’s club-record transfer Darwin Nunez was forced to miss practice due to a foot injury.
In order to get ready for the upcoming season, the two Premier League teams are in Thailand. They will also face off in the Rajamangala Stadium, where Jurgen Klopp, the manager of the Reds, will confront Erik ten Hag, the new manager of Manchester United.
During the public workout, coach Klopp put the team, including new signing Nunez, into a pacing exercise. Unfortunately, a slight foot injury ended his time on the training field.
According to reports, Nunez suffered some blisters on his foot. However, in a positive development for Liverpool, the 22-year-old forward reappeared to stretch with the team’s physiotherapist.
Liverpool will be hoping that their expensive new addition will play against Man United.
One of the many “young blood” signings Klopp made this summer is Darwin Nunez. Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen and newly promoted Fulham’s Fabio Carvalho were also added.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s star player Sadio Mane has left the club to join Bayern Munich this summer. For the first time in years, the Reds will be playing without the Senegalese who has always been an important player for the team.
Jurgen Klopp has reacted again to his departure by saying that there’s no need for “drastic changes” ahead of the new season. He said: “There is no reason for drastic changes, you would have to change drastically if you think specific parts of the team need a drastic change or whatever. Players lost desire or determination, that is not the case I have known them long enough, but you have to change anyway.
“You have to bring in fresh legs, fresh blood, and that’s what we did.”
The former Borussia Dortmund head coach added that Sadio Mane is not the only player that left as he revealed that Minamino and Divock Origi also departed this summer.
He continued by saying that one or two players might still leave before the current summer transfer window closes. However, Liverpool’s transfer window (for fresh signings) seems to have come to an end following the signing of Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho, and Calvin Ramsay.
Jurgen Klopp wants to concentrate on working with the current team as they prepare to challenge for many titles next season. He acknowledged that Darwin Nunez, Fabio, and Calvin are interesting players that can change the dynamic of the team.
