For the first time since they lost their son during birth, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez took themselves out to an unknown destination for a private holiday.

Note that Manchester United had to allow their players to go on holiday after the club lost 4-0 to lowly rated Brighton on Saturday, May 7, 2022. They had to be given some time off since they will not be involved in any competitive match until May 22, 2022.

On the said date, Manchester United will take on Crystal Palace at 16:00. The match will be Manchester United’s last Premier League game of the 2021-2022 season and might decide whether United will finish in the 6th spot or the 7th spot on the league table.

If Manchester United finish on the 6th spot, the club would qualify for the Europa League and if they end up in the 7th spot, they will qualify for the Europa Conference League. They are currently occupying the 6th spot on the league table with 58 points in 37 games, four points below 5th placed Tottenham Hotspur, and three points above 7th placed West Ham United.

Cristiano Ronaldo who has been at the center of all the storms at Old Trafford in most parts of the 2021-2022 season decided to escape from the storms with his lover, Georgina Rodriguez.

Recall that amidst the storm, Cristiano Ronaldo announced that he and Georgina were expecting twins boy and a girl. Unfortunately, in April 2022, the family confirmed that one of the babies (a boy) died during the delivery process.

Due to the death of the boy, Ronaldo missed Manchester United’s 4-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool on April 19, 2022.

Recently, Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez announced that their newborn daughter is named Bella Esmeralda.

To help Georgina move on stronger, Ronaldo decided to take the 28-year-old Argentine-born model on a private vacation to an unnamed destination. Ronaldo took to his Instagram page with 440 million people to share the picture of the getaway.

In the picture, Ronaldo was seen wearing a baseball cap with sunglasses. The 37-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner did not wear a shirt to give his followers a perfect view of his well-built abs.

On the other hand, Georgina wore a white T-shirt, dark sunglasses, and a baseball cap while she sat beside Ronaldo as they soaked in the sun together.

Cristiano Ronaldo whose contract with Manchester United will expire on June 30, 2023, is in a state of confusion concerning his next move. The 37-year-old Portuguese football icon has never missed playing in the Champions League since 2003.

Hence, the fact that Manchester United can no longer qualify for the Champions League this season means that if he stays at the Premier League club, he would have to make do with Europa League.

However, there are reports that the Portuguese star is contemplating leaving Manchester United for a Champions League playing club.

In reaction to the speculation, Rio Ferdinand, one of the legends of Manchester United, urged Cristiano Ronaldo to stay back at Old Trafford despite the club’s inability to qualify for the Champions League ahead of the 2022-2023 season.

“I just feel with Cristiano he’s always been known for winning, and every team he’s been at has been challenging for all the top honors”, Rio Ferdinand said. “I think he’s going to have to change his mindset and leave a different type of legacy at this point in his career with Man United. It is about working out what it is going to be for Cristiano Ronaldo. Help the next manager integrate with the new team and new environment, helping with the young players and new players who come in the door.

“Be that experienced player that is a shoulder to lean on. And maybe shift his attention from glory and the trophies to really having that personal impact at the football club – it is a bit different to what he has probably done before because it’s been trophy-led all the time.”
