Conor Gallagher scores stunning goal as Chelsea and Aston Villa settled for a dramatic 2-2 draw at Villa Park in the Premier League.
With goals from Madueke, Conor Gallagher, and Roger, including an own goal by Marc Cucurella, the Blues held Aston Villa to a draw.
Marc Cucurella mistakenly poked the ball into his own net after Chelsea came under pressure from the hosts.
Aston Villa star McGinn had attempted a cross into the box only to luckily have the ball mistakenly volleyed into the Blues’ net by Cucurella in the 4th minute.
After the own goal, Chelsea quickly fought back to score the equaliser in the 18th minute. Nicolas Jackson scored for the Blues with a fine finish past Emiliano Martinez.
Unluckily, the goal was chalked off after VAR review showed the Senegalese forward was offside despite appearing to perfectly time his run.
Three minutes before the break, Rogers scored for Aston Villa against the run of play to secure the win, thanks to an assist by Cash.
It was The villains still leading by two goals but Chelsea put up a more clinical performance in the second half. Two minutes after the hour mark, the Blues finally got one back to halve the deficit.
An error in deep midfield by Douglas Luiz saw Gallagher win the ball and found Madueke, who made no mistake, firing into the bottom-left corner.
With nine minutes left to play, Conor Gallagher produced a moment of magic enough to see the Blues peg back the hosts to a dramatic 2-2 draw. Picking a pass from Noni Madueke, Gallagher scored a stunner, curling his left-footed effort into the top corner.
The goal set the tie up for a nervy finish as both sides tried to finish off proceedings with a win but it ended 2-2 after the final whistle.
