The incoming Chelsea player will certainly give the Chelsea fans so many memorable moments with each potential goal he scores for the Blues.

The Frenchman who has already agreed to a deal with Chelsea to join them in the summer, returned to Leipzig’s lineup after two months injury.

The return of the 25-year-old forward was marked with a goal as he got on the scoresheet just after the 28th minute as Leipzig faced Hoffenheim.

The goal marked Nkunku’s 18th goal of the season – an impressive tally considering he’s missed 13 matches this campaign.

Christopher Nkunku celebrated the goal from his heart after several weeks out of play. Recall that fitness issues also saw him miss the FIFA World Cup.

After scoring for Leipzig on Saturday, April 29, Nkunku pulled out a red colored ballon he hid in his socks and blew it as a form of celebration to mark his comeback.

The back story of this celebration was a dedication to his two-year-old son, who he admitted loves balloons.

The former PSG attacker pulled off the same celebration in the Champions League in November against Shakhtar Donetsk.

He was asked after the match – which Leipzig won 4-0 – why he celebrated with a ballon and he confirmed that: “The ballon was for my son. He likes balloons.”

Christopher Nkunku will join Chelsea in the summer after he signed a pre-contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit.

The deal is reportedly worth over £50million, although Chelsea are yet to make any confirmation on the transfer deal.

Chelsea’s new owners led by Todd Boehly already spent a whooping £600million on signing new talent at Stamford Bridge after he bought the club in 2022.

But the spending is not reflecting on their performance as Chelsea have struggled in the Premer League this season.

The Blues are currently in 12th position in the League table and they may not play in Europe in the coming season.

The West London giants have also been knocked out of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup and were eliminated by Real Madrid in the Champions League.
