Christian Pulisic has reached agreement with AC Milan as he edged close to joining the La Liga giants this summer.

According to reports, Pulisic is set for a new chapter in his career away from Chelsea as he agrees to a long term deal with AC Milan.

Pulisic’s imminent Chelsea exit is not a surprise after the 24-year-old struggled to find his footing in the squad, sharing in the club’s misfortunes last season.

ESPN confirms Christian Pulisic has agreed in principle to join AC Milan on a long term contract.

The report adds Christian Pulisic will take a pay cut to join the Serie A side as the club prepares for a direct talks with Chelsea to see through the deal.

Sources close to Chelsea reveal the London club want £21.3m before parting ways with Christian Pulisic but AC Milan will table an offer of £19.6m as their first official bid for the player and will not pay more.

Christian Pulisic will become the second Chelsea player to join AC Milan this summer after former Chelsea pal Ruben Loftus-Cheek sealed a move to the Serie A club.

He will become the seventh Chelsea player to leave the club this summer following the trio exits of N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy to Saudi Arabia.

After Kante’s exit, out-of-favor goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, sealed a move to newly promoted Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli and was joined by Senegal national team pal and Chelsea last-summer signing Kalidou Koulibaly, who moved to Al Hilal.

Hakim Ziyech was also set to join the exodus to Saudi Arabia after reaching agreement with Al Nassr but the move suffered setback as he failed the club’s medical.

Other Chelsea players on the exit lane from Stamford Bridge this summer are Mason Mount who is set to join Manchester United. Mateo Kovacic has joined Premier League champions Manchester City while Kai Havertz has joined Arsenal.

Pulisic has just one year left on his contract. Chelsea risk losing him as a free agent after next season hence it’s understood the club will want to strike a deal with Milan to cash out from the player.

Pulisic joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in 2019. He made 30 appearances for Chelsea last season with just 8 starts.

His career at the club was also marred with niggling injuries leaving him on the sidelines for most part of the season.

He was booed by Chelsea fans in the club’s last Premier League match against Newcastle United last season. Pulisic has won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup for the West London club.
