Chelsea right-back, Reece James has revealed that his car was robbed while he was sharing Christmas gifts with some less privileged children. He said the thieves stole some of the gifts that he left in the car during the attack.
The 21-year-old English football star revealed this via a post he shared on his Instagram story. The football star shared a picture showing a car with a damaged window to prove that he was robbed as he claimed via the caption of the picture.
According to the caption, Reece James wrote that he went out with the car to help Felix Project charity to share gifts. After he shared the gifts he left his car with, the English football star returned to the car to pick more, only to find out that the car has been broken into and the gifts have been taken away.
In the caption to the picture he posted on his Instagram story, Reece James reminded those who invaded his car that “what goes around comes around” and described the theft as unfortunate and a “huge disappointment”.
James wrote: “Another rewarding experience with the Felix Project today serving meals to the younger generation.
“Hopefully we spread some joy ahead of a challenging Christmas period.
“Unfortunately, I was met with huge disappointment when returning to my car.
“During the event, someone felt the need to break in and steal gifts that I was due to go and donate later in the day. What goes around comes around.”
Two days before the news went viral that Reece James’ car was robbed, the footballer took to his Instagram page to share a picture showing when he sat amid the items that were donated for him to share to the less privileged children through Felix Project charity. Some of the items he displayed included PlayStation 5 and jerseys.
In the caption, he wrote: “I would like to thank everyone that’s helped me raise enough money for @thefelixproject to provide 141,428 meals over this Christmas Period.
“This festive season is about giving back and putting a smile on other people’s faces. So it’s only right I give back to everyone that helped me make this possible…”
