Chelsea have have suffered a double injury blow ahead of their crunch Premier League tie with title hopefuls Arsenal on Tuesday, April 23.

According to reports reaching us from the Chelsea squad, Palmer and Gusto are serious doubts for the game.

The pair were in action as the Blues tanked their hopes of a silverware this season with FA Cup semifinal loss to Manchester City at Wembley.

And they were expected to return to action again as the club prepare for a rollercoaster Premier League matchup against London rivals Arsenal.

The report reveals Cole Palmer missed Chelsea training ahead of the Arsenal cracker due to illness while Malo Gusto is undergoing medical assessment due to fitness concerns.

An additional update on the Blues’ injury situation reveal Christopher Nkunku is training with the team partially, and is not likely to return to action against the Gunners.

“Cole Palmer, not training today due to illness ahead of Arsenal-Chelsea and Malo Gusto currently undergoing medical assessment.

“Christopher Nkunku, still in partial team training,” as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Cole Palmer has been a standout performer for Chelsea since his £43m move from Manchester City in the summer.

He has shouldered the goalscoring responsibility of the London outfit, scoring 20 Premier League goals to tie his former teammate Erling Haaland on the Premier League topscorers’ chart this season.

His absence is certainly going to be a big blow as the Blues prepare for the Arsenal match on Tuesday.

Gusto has also been in a red-hot form for the Blues. Known for his pacey runs and cross-field passes, the French winger will also be missed in the Arsenal match, having cement his place in the squad with 23 Premier League appearances and 5 assists
