Former Manchester United and City striker Carlos Tevez has been rushed to the hospital after suffering from chest pains.
The Argentine spent a night at the clinic in the San Isidro neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
He was due to undergo major tests on April 24, 2024, at a nearby hospital named Finochietto Hospital in Buenos Aires.
Tevez is currently managing Argentina football club Independiente. After the announcement, the club released an official statement saying, “Our coach, Carlos Tevez, went to the La Trinidad Hospital in San Isidro with chest pain. They carried out the corresponding tests, and they were satisfactory.”
“Today he will continue with a series of tests scheduled in advance as part of a general check-up. Carlos Tevez will be hospitalized as a precaution until the corresponding tests are completed.”
The Argentine is currently suffering from high blood pressure and regularly undergo medical checkups.
The Independiente are scheduled to have training on April 24, 2024, but there is no assurance on whether Tevez will be present during the training.
He had initially sparked fears about his future with Independiente. He cancelled a press conference after the club’s elimination from a cup competition in March 2024 in Argentina.
