Arsenal Football Club is known for grooming young talents and making them superstars. Over the years, the structure of the club is seen as one that really favours young talents like Bukayo Saka.
Bukayo Saka is just an 18-year-old Nigerian-born English footballer who has played in almost all the age-grade National teams of England except the under 23 and the senior national team.
The player started his career as a footballer with Arsenal’s Hale End academy and earned his first professional football contract with Arsenal immediately he turned 17 years old.
Saka had his first opportunity to prove his worth in a competitive game for Arsenal senior team on 29 November 2018 when the club faced Vorskla Poltava in a Europa League match. He was given less than 30 minutes of the second half to prove himself. But he had to wait until 13 December 2018 to make his first full home debut for Arsenal in their Europa League match against FK Qarabag.
He also waited till January 1, 2019, to make his first Premier League Appearance for Arsenal at the 83 minutes in the match where Arsenal humiliated Fulham 4 goals to one.
Ever since then, the 18-year-old footballer has been unstoppable as he has been able to fight his way into the hearts of the former coach of the club, Unai Emery, and the new coach Mikel Arteta.
Bukayo Saka is the future
So far, Saka has made 19 Premier League appearances for Arsenal senior team but he has not scored any goal for the team in the Premier League. Besides that, he has been a very good team player as he always tries to get involved in all the actions on the field of play.
Since the versatile player is not banging in the goals, he is making up for that by providing constant assists for the strikers up front.
Meanwhile, Saka has made 31 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal, scoring a total of 4 goals and making a total of 8 assists for the club.
No matter the stats that may be speaking against the player, Saka is a player for the future for Arsenal. Besides the fact that he is just an 18-year-old player who has featured for Arsenal in all major competitions except Champions League, Saka versatility is a plus for Arsenal.
He has been used in Arsenal as a winger, left-back or wing-back, and in all those roles, the player proved himself worthy of being in the Emirates Stadium.
As it stands, the only thing that can stop Saka at Arsenal is if the club does not give him the kind of contract that can make him stay at the club till his full potentials manifest. As far as Saka remains at Arsenal, the gains the club would enjoy from his services are limitless.
