According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, it has been confirmed that Peretz will be traveling to Munich for his medicals over the weekend.

On Thursday, August 24, he is set to play his final match before he bid Maccabi Tel Aviv farewell as the Israeli team will be facing NK Celje, a Slovenian side, in a Europa Conference League playoff game.

Romano reported that Bayern Munich will pay a transfer fee of €5 million along with additional payments, for the acquisition of Peretz.

Furthermore, Thomas Tuchel’s team are set to sign Daniel Peretz on a five-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2028.

After approximately a week of speculation, Bayern Munich eventually secured a third goalkeeper for their roster this season.

Daniel Peretz will compete with Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich for spot

The 23-year-old will be joining Bayern Munich’s goalkeeping team, which boasts the presence of Manuel Neuer, the five-time FIFA goalkeeper of the year.

Peretz is anticipated to serve as the third option, following the currently injured starter Manuel Neuer and the reliable backup Sven Ulreich.

Since December 2022, Neuer has been absent from 27 club games due to a lower leg fracture he sustained while skiing during his winter break.

The 37-year-old captain of the German team, Neuer is anticipated to make a comeback within the upcoming weeks or months.

Meanwhile, the Bayern goal net will be guarded by the 35-year-old Sven Ulreich.
Since his move to Munich in 2015, the German stopper has proven to be a dependable backup keeper for Bayern.

On the opening matchday of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season, Bayern Munich secured a 4-0 victory against Werder Bremen, with Ulreich managing to maintain a clean sheet throughout the match.

Daniel Peretz wouldn’t be a disappointment to Bayern as he brings a wealth of experience with 70 Israeli Premier League games under his belt.

He is anticipated to compete with Ulreich for the second spot behind Neuer under the leadership of Thomas Tuchel.
