Bukayo Saka was a lucky 18 years old arsenal player who found himself in the first team due to the club’s lack of spending and because a lot of Arsenal players are injured.  He was born in England by Nigerian parents, he started his career as a young star with Arsenal youth accademy and he has been very impressive in all the first team games he has played since his promotion.

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta Praised Saka after the game for his willingness to cover at left-back, despite it not being his preferred position. “It is the situation now because we don’t have any left-backs at the moment,” Arteta said.

“What I like is that he’s put his head down, it’s not his favorite position to play, but we try to adapt him with his qualities to play him as much as possible in the position that he likes. “But then he is very willing to learn all the defensive principals that we are asking him to do and his attitude is really good.”

Saka had a great game today, he scored one goal and provided an assist from a cross to Eddie Nketiah. Also, he was awarded the ‘Man Of The Match’ award as Arsenal cruised to the next round. The match ended 2 – 1.

Arsenal will face Portsmouth next in the 5th round of the Emirates FA Cup on March 3rd and March 5th.

The last time Arsenal played against the League One side Portsmouth (Pompey) was in 2004. In that game, legend Thiery Henry and Freddie Ljungberg scored 2 goals each, then Kolo Toure added one more, the Match ended 5 – 1, Arsenal won.
