    Arsenal eased past Nottingham Forest with a big win as they humbled their visitors grabbed 5-0 at the Emirates to maintain their top spot on the Premier League table.

    Arsenal dominated the game as they aimed to consolidate their top spot in the league.

    After just five minutes into the first half, Arsenal took the lead with a diving header from Brazil international Gabriel Martinelli.

    Saka had picked the ball up on the right flank and sent it to Martinelli, who best Henderson to deliver a low diving header into the bottom-right corner.

    Despite going a goal up, Arsenal still took charge of the game and dominated possession, and mounted more pressure for the second goal.

    Another chance for the Gunners in the 8th minute. Saka dispossessed Jesse Lingaard and fed Gabriel Jesus, whose left-footed shot was too wide off the left post.

    Arsenal nearly doubled the lead in the 20th minute, save Lodi’s goal-line clearance after Martinelli’s left-footed shot.

    Saka appeared to be having a slight injury and was subbed off in the 27th minute for Nelson.

    Arsenal continued to dominate play and created a series of chances as the first-half near the end.

    The visitors equally had a handful of opportunities to level the scoreline after trailing by a lone goal.

    Awoniyi had dispossessed Thomas Partey in the Gunners’ half in the 32nd minute. He located Jesse Lingard, whose shot went wide off the goalpost.

    The first half ended with Arsenal leading by a lone goal. The Gunners also sat comfortably in the game throughout the first half.

    They had 72% of the ball possession against Nottingham Forest’s 28%. They also had more shots, firing 10, with 2 on target, 3 off target, and 5 blocked.

    Forest were obviously playing second fiddle to their hosts as they managed only 4 shots with only one on target as the first half ended.

    It was a rout as the second half began. Nottingham Forest continued to struggle for possession.

    Arsenal doubled their lead just 4 minutes into the second half as substitute, Nelson, got his name on the scoresheet.

    After Henderson saved his first strike, he quickly slotted home the rebound to give the Gunners the lead.

    Three minutes later, Nelson scored again in the 52nd minute to bag his brace and take the scoreline to a 3-0.

    Arsenal still dominated play and were all over the pitch, winning all tackles, passes, and dribbles against Forest.

    Thomas Partey made it 4-0 for Arsenal in the 58th minute. It was a beautiful curling finish into the top-right corner.

    Odegaard sank the Hammers in the 78th minute, firing a left-footed rocket into the top left corner to make it 5-0.

    The match ended with Arsenal securing their biggest win this season as they held onto the top spot on the League table.
