Arsenal have pointed out three priority positions that they are looking at strengthening in the upcoming 2024 summer transfer window.

Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is planning on making changes to his setup, with the aim of becoming part of Europe’s elite teams.

Arsenal were bundled out of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, after losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena and 3-2 on aggregate.

Potential signings that Arsenal could make in the 2024 summer transfer window

It is no news that Arsenal are interested in signing a new striker this summer, however, they have also included the hunt for a new left-back and midfielder on their checklist.

The North London side are expected to spend heavily in the summer, with their spending on new arrivals to be supplemented by the exits of several players.

Reports concerning the club’s interest in signing a left-back are coming at a period when the future of Oleksandr Zinchenko is hanging in the balance.

Despite Arteta expressing his support for the Ukrainian, it is uncertain if the ex-Manchester City man will remain at the Emirates beyond this season.

The Gunners’ targets for the attacking department, include; Red Bull Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and Sporting Lisbon centre forward Viktor Gyokeres.

Arsenal are also eyeing Premier League duo; Ollie Watkins and Alexander Isak, but both deals appear stoked with difficulties.

The North London side’s long-term pursuit of Brentford forward Ivan Toney also looks to have hit the rocks, as they seemingly have their attention elsewhere.

In the midfield department, Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi has caught the eye of Arsenal.

Players that could exit Arsenal in the summer

Meanwhile, players who could be heading towards the exit door include; Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, and Thomas Partey.

Ramsdale is reportedly a target of Newcastle United and Chelsea, whilst Crystal Palace and West Ham United have their sights on Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe.

If winger Nelson is sold in the summer, Arsenal could look towards Wolverhampton Wanderers for winger Pedro Neto as his replacement.

Moreover, Ghanian midfielder Partey, who has battled through injuries in recent seasons could also be exiting to Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2024.

Anyway, Mikel Arteta’s side return to action on Saturday, April 20, 2024, facing Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Matchday 34 Premier League affair.

The Gunners lost their unbeaten run in 2024 on Sunday, April 14, 2024, losing 2-0 to Aston Villa at Villa Park.

That defeat put a big dent on their title credentials, as they relinquished their lead at the summit of the Premier League table to Manchester City.

Arsenal have amassed 71 points from 32 league matches, equal number of points with 3rd-placed Liverpool.

The Cityzens, who occupy the top spot have picked up 73 points from 32 league matches and many have tipped them to ultimately go on and win the crown.
