    Arsenal have been among the busiest clubs in the 2023 summer transfer window alongside other big Premier League clubs.

    The Gunners sealed ground-breaking deals and also witnessed a flurry of exits of first team players on permanent and loan exits. Futballnews takes you through all Arsenal sold and signed players in the 2023 transfer window.

    Declan Rice leads the list of Arsenal signings in the 2023 summer transfer window followed by Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber, and David Raya.

    Declan Rice

    Declan Rice joined Arsenal on a British and club record transfer fee from West Ham United. The England attacking midfielder joined Arsenal as a replacement for former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka, who exited the club to Bayer Leverkusen in Bundesliga. Declan Rice joined Arsenal for £105m, signing a five-year contract.

    Kai Havertz

    Former Chelsea star Kai Havertz is second on the list of Arsenal’s most expensive signing in 2023 transfer window. The German attacking midfielder joined Arsenal for £65m from Chelsea signing a five-year deal.

    Jurrien Timber

    Timber, who is currently nursing an injury on the sideline, was Arsenal’s only defender signing this summer.

    Regarded as a top and talented full-back, Timber joined Arsenal from Ajax in a deal worth £38m.

    David Raya

    David Raya is Arsenal’s only goalkeeper signing this summer. With the exit of Matt Turner on the cards, Arsenal needed a replacement and a backup for Aaron Ramsdale. Raya joined Arsenal from Brentford but on a season-long loan deal worth £3m.

    Arsenal 2023 summer exits

    It was a near mass-exodus in the 2023 transfer window as Mikel Arteta continue to trim down and reshuffle Arsenal for the current campaign that has gotten underway.

    Leading the lists of exits from the Emirates this summer are Granit Xhaka, Maitland-Niles, Folarin Balogun, Nuno Tavares, and others.

    Granit Xhaka

    Former Arsenal captain, Granit Xhaka was the first high-profile player that exited Arsenal this summer. After seven years at Arsenal, the Swiss baller called it quit on his Arsenal career.

    Granit Xhaka returned to the Bundesliga, joining Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year contract for £21.5m.

    Folarin Balogun

    Folarin Balogun is Arsenal most expensive exit in 2023 summer transfer window. After a brilliant loan outing with Reims in Ligue 1, Balogun has joined Monaco on permanent deal for £40m, signing a five-year contract.

    Matt Turner

    Matt Turner is Arsenal’s second goalkeeper exit. The USA international, who struggled for game time at Emirates, is now a Nottingham Forest player.

    Turner has signed a four-year deal with Nottingham Forest with Arsenal pocketing £7m from the move.

    Pablo Mari

    Pablo Mari, who was down the pecking order at Arsenal, spending last season on loan spell to Monza, has settled for a permanent move with the Serie A club. The 29-year-old joins Monza on a permanent move for £6m.

    Auston Trusty

    Auston Trusty is another Arsenal defender that has left the club on a permanent move. Trusty has joined new-ly promoted side Sheffield United for £6.4m, signing a four-year contract.

    Rob Holding

    Rob Holding, who was also out-of-favor in Mikel Arteta’s defense options, sealed a move to Crystal Palace in the 2023 transfer window. Holding joins Crystal Palace for £4m, signing a three-year contract.

    Arsenal loaned players

    Arsenal have loaned out five players this summer with one player, Maitland-Niles, leaving as a free agent to Lyon.

    Top on the list of Arsenal loan exits are Kieran Tierney. The Scottish footballer joined Real Sociedad on loan till 2024 after making only 6 Premier League start for Arsenal last season.

    Portuguese defender, Nuno Tavares, who struggled for playing time at Arsenal, has also completed a loan move to Nottingham Forest after returning from a loan move from Marseille.

    Iceland goalkeeper, Runar Runarsson has also completed a loan move to lower division side, Cardiff City while Brazilian right winger, Marquinhos has joined Nantes in Ligue 1.
