After failing to win the UEFA Champions League for the second consecutive season, the French club is considering a massive roster revamp at the end of the 2021/22 season.

The Argentine players at Paris Saint-Germain, with the exception of Messi, have been advised that they have no future in the French capital, according to L’Equipe.

Angel di Maria will become a free agent in June after Paris Saint-Germain decided not to renew his contract with the club in the summer.

Two more Argentines, Mauro Icardi and Leandro Paredes, will be placed on the transfer list as soon as the season comes to a finish on December 31.

Since joining PSG from Manchester United, Angel Di Maria has established himself as a key member of the team. With 289 games under his belt, he has proven to be a lucrative acquisition for the club in terms of his performances during his time in the French capital.

Although Di Maria has had limited opportunity to play with the arrival of Lionel Messi, the Argentina international hasn’t played an entire match since December in the French Ligue 1.

Icardi has had a disappointing season with Paris Saint-Germain, scoring just five goals in 30 games. With 15 appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season, Leandro Paredes has established himself as a regular.

Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, is claimed to desire Lionel Messi to be a part of his squad if he stays in charge next season, despite reports earlier this year that he is set to quit the club this summer.

As for Messi, according to Marca, the Barcelona star is determined to see out the balance of his contract with PSG, which is set to expire at the end of the 2022/23 season.
