Former Arsenal Star Alexis Sanchez Returns To Udinese On Free Transfer

Udinese have completed the signing of former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez on a free transfer on a one-year contract. 

He was released by Inter Milan after staying at the club for a season. Sanchez, who is currently 35 years old, spent five years with the Udinese after joining them as a teenager.

The Chilean attacker left the club in 2011 to join Barcelona before he had spells in England with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Before joining Inter Milan, Sanchez contacted Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta about coming back to North London. 

The South American is expected to help the Udinese team compete for every available silverware in the Italian League next season.

Sanchez is a great addition to the squad because he is a threat in terms of free kicks.

Also, he is extremely good when it comes to making good passes, coupled with the fact that he can dribble and hit the ball from a distance.

Udinese are still very active in the transfer window, and they are looking forward to bringing in more transfer options ahead of next season. 

The Serie A team have signed Lorenzo Lucca, Jurgen Ekkelenkamp, Damian Pizzaro, Jesper Karlstrom, Iker Bravo, and Goncalo Esteves.

The former Arsenal winger won two Copa America trophies with the Chile national team. Sanchez won the FIFA Club World Cup, La Liga, Copa Del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup with Barcelona.

The Chilean legend won two Italian Serie A titles, one Italian Cup, and two Italian Super Cups with Inter Milan. 

Sanchez won two FA Cups and three Community Shields with Arsenal. In addition, he won the Chile League title with CSD Colo Colo and the Argentina League title with River Plate.

He made 701 appearances, scoring 202 goals and creating 147 assists in all club competitions. He had received 82 yellow cards and four red cards so far in his career.

Out of the 202 goals scored, 80 were for Arsenal, 24 for Inter Milan, 46 for Barcelona, 21 for Udinese, five for Manchester United, 18 for Olympic Marseille, four for River Plate, and four for Colo-Colo.

Sanchez made his international debut for the Chile national team on April 27, 2006. He went on to score 50 goals in 166 appearances for the country.
