Hints of Mason Greenwood’s next stop on his career has emerged after the prolific winger put up his luxury home for sale.

The 22-year-old forward lived in a posh £2million property in the suburbs of Manchester while acing his career with Manchester United. According to reports, it was at the property he was picked up by Manchester Police in 2022 after allegations of rape, sexual assault, and controlling behavior

The young footballer would see his career grind to a halt following his arrest due to the allegations. He was suspended from the Manchester United squad and had been exiled for 18 months as he battled to clear his name.

After a dragging legal process, the Crown Prosecuting Service decided to drop charges against the player due to technical problems emanating from the withdrawal of witnesses.

After the landmark moment in the legal proceedings, United opted to have Greenwood restart his career away from Old Trafford.

He was loaned to Getafe where he reached his personal career best, recording his all-time highest goal contribution (14) in a single season.

Following a roaring return to footballing action with Getafe, United fans have been calling for the youngster to be brought back to Old Trafford when his loan deal expires.

However, it is understood United hierarchy, led by new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, have decided to part ways with the player this summer.

Now, according to The Sun, Greenwood has put up his £2million property in Manchester for sale, affirming reports he has come to the end of his career with United.

Futballnews understands the terrific winger has a year left on his Manchester United contract but the club is ready to cash in on him this summer.

Greenwood’s next stop has yet to be confirmed but he has been linked to Napoli, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid. Getafe are also interested in renewing United’s loan offer to keep the player for another season with the Azulones.
