Chelsea players and coaching staff gave Thiago Silva a guard of honour for his achievements and commitment to the London side after playing his last game for the club against Bournemouth on Sunday, May 19.

The London club posted a clip on their Instagram page showing the player walking out of the tunnel with his wife, Isabelle da Silva, and children, Isago and Lago Silva, with the caption, “He will go down as one of the Chelsea greats.”

Upon his appearance from the tunnel, he was met with a loud roar from the fans and applause from both Chelsea players and staff.

A picture was posted on Chelsea’s Instagram page showing Thiago Silva looking emotional, with the fans showing their utmost appreciation.

Another picture showed Thiago Silva waving to the Chelsea fans, with the fans holding a huge banner displaying Thiago Silva with the Champions League title and a large inscription which read, “He came from PSG to win the Champions League.”

The defender moved from Paris Saint-Germain to Chelsea in August 2020. He had an excellent career playing for the London club.

Thiago Silva ended his Chelsea career with the Champions League title, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup, which he won under coach Thomas Tuchel.

He made 155 appearances, scoring nine goals and creating four assists in all competitions for Chelsea. The Brazilian will be returning to his country to play for Fluminense this summer.

Alexander Arnold shed tears on Jurgen Klopp’s final day as Liverpool manager.

Alexander Arnold couldn’t hold back his tears during Jurgen Klopp’s farewell speech after Liverpool defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. Arnold made his debut for Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.

During Arnold latest interview with Sky Sports, he revealed what Jurgen Klopp meant to him, saying “My debut under him was his proudest moment playing for the Reds.” In addition, Arnold said, “Klopp is somebody I will tell my kids and my grandkids about.”

The 56-year-old manager addressed the Liverpool fans for the last time after the final whistle. He said, “I saw a lot of people crying, and it will happen to me tonight because I will miss people.

“But change is good. You never know what to expect, but if you go with the right attitude, everything will be fine because the basics are 100% perfect there.”

After addressing the Liverpool faithful, he proceeded to do his trademark celebration with the fans for the last time.

The manager won seven major titles with Liverpool in nine years. He won the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup, two Carabao Cups, and the Community Shield.
