Bayern Munich was heavily linked with the Chelsea academy graduate in the winter of the 2018/2019 season as he was seen as a fix for their wing play issues and they reportedly made offers to snap up the young winger on three occasions.
With his demand high, the 19-year-old reportedly putting in a transfer request before Chelsea locked him down with a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge nine months later.
After Chelsea turned down Bayern Munich’s bumper offers for the teenager, the German champions opted for a loan deal for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisicas for a temporary fix.

They report that the 19-year-old feels opportunities are too limited and he would undoubtedly struggle for playing time this season under head coach Frank Lampard.
Bayern has seen this as a window of opportunity to snap up their long-time target and is hopeful that Chelsea would finally entertain offers for the winger after fighting tooth and nail to keep the highly-rated academy product two years ago.
