Bayern Munich Re-open Interest in Chelsea Starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi

Bayern Munich was heavily linked with the Chelsea academy graduate in the winter of the 2018/2019 season as he was seen as a fix for their wing play issues and they reportedly made offers to snap up the young winger on three occasions.

With his demand high, the 19-year-old reportedly putting in a transfer request before Chelsea locked him down with a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge nine months later.

After Chelsea turned down Bayern Munich’s bumper offers for the teenager, the German champions opted for a loan deal for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisicas for a temporary fix.

It is now believed that Bayern Munich are now readying another battle to take the England U-21 international to the Allianz Arena

According to The Mail, Hudson-Odoi might consider his future at the North London club after a summer spending spree that saw them recruit a plethora of attacking players like Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, and Hakim Ziyech to join more attacking players in Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount,

They report that the 19-year-old feels opportunities are too limited and he would undoubtedly struggle for playing time this season under head coach Frank Lampard.

Bayern has seen this as a window of opportunity to snap up their long-time target and is hopeful that Chelsea would finally entertain offers for the winger after fighting tooth and nail to keep the highly-rated academy product two years ago.

It is also rumored that Bayern might lock horns with Italian giants Juventus, who are also monitoring the Englishman’s situation, as they hope to secure his signature before the close of the summer transfer window on October 5.

With the new attacking options on the cards for Chelsea, Hudson Odoi’s time at the club might come to an end. However, the Chelsea faithful would hope the club only release their star academy graduate on a loan deal.xz
