Trent Alexander-Arnold reached a milestone in his Liverpool career as he recorded his 100th goal & assist for the Reds against Fulham.
The England right-back scored a stunner as Liverpool thrashed Fulham 3-1 at Craven Cottage to keep tabs on the Premier League title race.
Arnold scored the first goal of the game, bending a powerful freekick into the top corner beyond Bernd Leno to give Liverpool the lead.
The Cottagers did fight back to level terms before the break through Castagne but Gravenberch and Diogo Jota ensured the Reds ran out with all three points with two second-half goals to wrap up victory.
Arnold, who has missed weeks of action for the Reds due to injury, was crucial in the victory. He stretched Fulham’s defence with his passing skills and was defensively prolific with his timely interceptions and blocks.
The generational playmaker reached a milestone of 100 goals and assists for Liverpool – a rare feat by a defender.
As per Transfermarkt, the Liverpool Academy graduate has now scored 19 goals with 81 assists in his 305 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions.
Reacting on X, Liverpool’s vice-captain simply said: “Proud to hit 100 goals and assists” with a heart emoji.
Speaking after the victory against Fulham, Jurgen Klopp heaped praise on Trent Alexander-Arnold:
“For a long period of time, Trent was exceptional.”
“Conor Bradley played a few games or football where we all thought ‘oh, wow.
“But nobody is like Trent, that’s the way it is.”
Trent, who is eyeing a spot in England 2024 Euros squad, will hope to continue on his prolific run for Liverpool as they prepare for a mid-week Premier League clash against Everton in their next game.
