The London giants are searching for a new manager following the sacking of Graham Potter on Sunday after his poor performances.

Enrique amongst other is one of the favorites to take over affairs at Chelsea after The Blues made initial contact with the Spaniard earlier this week.

Now, it was reported by Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano that the former Spain coach has landed in London for further discussions with Chelsea.

Chelsea are also hopeful that the former Spain and Barcelona manager will take over immediately from caretaker coach Bruno Saltor who is reportedly unwilling to stay until the end of the season due to his connection with fired Graham Potter.

Frank Lampard is also a favorite, however, just as an interim manager – until end of the season, that is if the deal with Enrique doesn’t pull through.

Julian Nagelsmann, former Bayern Munich manager, is also another option and is believed to still be high on the Chelsea’ Wishlist.

Fabrizio Romano reported that Chelsea have also contacted the German over the role and are set to continue with the 35-year-old.

The Blues are believed to have also shortlisted seven names including Mauricio Pochettino and Fulham manager Marco Silva.

Roberto De Zerbi is not being considered even though Chelsea admires his work ethics since he arrived in the English Premier League.

Julian Nagelsmann is also on the Tottenham wishlist and also seen as a potential successor for Carlo Ancelotti at Santiago Bernabeu.

Which Other Manager Is On Chelsea’s Wishlist?

Here are some of the other favourites to replace Potter as Chelsea manager…

Julian Nagelsmann

The German was sacked from Bayern Munich over the international break and was said to be available to take over Chelsea immediately.

He coached Bayern to a Bundesliga title in his first season at the club and have also guided them to a smooth Champions League campaign this year.

Mauricio Pochettino

Pochettino is another out-of-work manager. He was also fired by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season and has been without a job since then.

Pochettino is almost looking like that ‘project-builder’ that Boehly seems to want and has Premier League experience, unlike Nagelsmann and Enrique.

Frank Lampard

Lampard who was former Chelsea manager before he was dismissed and replaced by Thomas Tuchel, is also a candidate for the vacate job.

Lampard’s case is different as Chelsea new owner only wants to employ the Legend as an Interim Manager until they get a permanent coach.

Bruno Saltor

Bruno Saltor is a very unlikely prospects beyond the short-term, however, he is the man in the hot seat as it stands.

After Potter’s dismissal was announced, Bruno was confirmed to take charge immediately and oversee the activities of the team until the end of the season – but he has reportedly shown lack of interest to go all the way due to his connection with Potter.
