This is the first time Bukayo Saka is winning the award this campaign

It’s the first time the 21-year-old won the award, while he becomes the second Arsenal player to take home the award this campaign after Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard won the merged edition for the month of November and December.

The England International of Nigerian descent is the 22nd different Arsenal player to win the Premier League player of the month, the highest by any team in Premier League history.

Saka scored the opening goal in their 4-0 thrashing of Everton at the beginning of March in addition to assisting Gabriel Martinelli for the second goal.

The 21-year-old scored a brace in the Gunners 4-1 victory over the Eagles of Crystal Palace at their home turf alongside setting up Brazilian Martinelli once again.

Those impressive performances took Bukayo Saka’s goals and assist tally to double figures in the English Premier League this season.

His manager, Mikel Arteta also took home the manager of the month award for March and he has won the award for the fourth time this season.

Arteta won the manager of the month in August alongside the merged edition for the month of November and December.  and in January as well.
