Antonio Conte will quit Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season since the club doesn’t want to offer the Italian tactician a new deal.

Only until June does the Italian have a contract with the Lilywhites.

Spurs have the power to make the 12-month contract extension happen.

Gianluca DiMarzio, an Italian specialist, asserts that they will let Conte’s contract to expire so that the coach can leave without any legalities.

When DiMarzio made an appearance on Sky in Italy, he revealed the 53-year old’s predicament.

He stated: “The news I can tell you with certainty is that Antonio Conte will leave Tottenham at the end of the season.”

“There was no spark, his contract is expiring and the club has not asked him for a renewal.”

“The club does not like the frequent jibes.”

“Conte wants players to win, while the club prefers to trade, the feeling with the club has not clicked.”

“His family, among other things, has remained in Italy.”

In November 2021, Spurs named the former Chelsea manager as Nuno Espirito Santo’s replacement.

In the previous season, he contributed to the turnaround in play that saw Tottenham edge Arsenal out in the race for a fourth place finish.

However, this time around, things have taken a negative turn, with Spurs’ performances generally being subpar even in victories.

Spurs have only secured four points in their last four league contests since the Premier League restarted after the World Cup.

Six points behind the top four, they are ranked fifth in the table.

This season, Conte has experienced a significant deal of trauma.

Gian Piero Ventrone, a close friend for a long time and the Spurs’ fitness trainer, passed unexpectedly in October after a brief illness.

Gianluca Vialli, a friend from Italy, passed away earlier this month.

Both Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino have recently been connected to the Spurs job.

It has been suggested that Poch’s reunion would take precedence over Tuchel’s hiring, who, if chosen, would make Tottenham’s current ownership the fifth former Chelsea manager to lead the club.

Antonio Conte

Tottenham Hotspur’s head coach is Italian professional football manager and former player Antonio Conte Cavaliere OMRI (born July 31, 1969).

He participated in the UEFA Euro 2000 and the FIFA World Cup 1994 as a member of the Italy national team, where Italy placed second in both competitions.

He then took the position of manager of Chelsea, guiding them to the Premier League title in his first season in charge. In his second season, they won the FA Cup, but he was fired because they finished fifth in the league.

Following his arrival at Inter Milan, Conte led the club to the UEFA Europa League final in his debut campaign, and in his second campaign, the 2020–2021 Serie A championship, before resigning by mutual consent.

In November 2021, he signed on with Tottenham Hotspur.
