News reaching us from Bournemouth  football club says, its goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was one of two individuals to test positive for coronavirus in the latest round of Premier League covid19 test.

Though, his result three days before, returned negative in the first batch.

The club said on Sunday that a player tested positive but did not reveal his identity.

A total of 996 players and club members were tested in the second round of testing last week. The other person from another club was not named.

Eight people from Premier League clubs tested positive after 1,744 tests.  Ramsdale returned to training when the league authorized the clubs to hold breakout sessions with players according to the distance guidelines.

The 22-year-old said that he had no symptoms and was now isolating himself for seven days at home which obviously is not good for training.

In his words he said the club was fantastic, that the players and especially the staff were really helpful. If they needed anything like shopping, they will ask and it will just be left at the door.

Bournemouth FC said on Sunday that its training facilities are still safe after stern adherence to the rules of returning to training in Premier League.

Hence, the club’s training ground remains a safe working environment for both players and backstage staff who continue to be tested for the Covid-19 virus twice a week.

The league announced on Saturday that two people from 996 players and staff selected on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday tested positive from different clubs. This was a better resut from the first round of testing which was  announced last Tuesday when six out of 748 people showed symptoms of the corona virus.

Three of them were in Watford, one player – who was later identified to be Adrian Mariappa – and two employees. Burnley confirmed that Ian Woan, her deputy director, was another person whose result came back positive.
