Premier League giants, Manchester United, have completed a series of top and expensive signings since Alex Ferguson left the club. A new signing from Ajax has slipped into the second spot after the Red Devils ended a mega €100m deal with a five years contract for the player.

Juventus star and former Man United midfielder Paul Pogba tops the list of the most expensive players so far. Manchester United signed Pogba from Juventus in the 2016/2017 football season in a deal worth $115.50m. Pogba made 154 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 54 goals. He returned to Juventus after the end of the 2021/22 football season, where he signed a four-year contract with the club.

Harry Maguire is the third most expensive player at Manchester United. The Old Trafford club signed the 29-year-old England center-back from Leicester City in the 2019/20 football season in a $95.70m deal. Maguire, who is now the captain of the team, had made 104 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring four goals.

Jason Sancho is the fourth most expensive Man United signing. The 22-year-old England international joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in the 2021/22 football season for $93.50m. After a four years stint with Borussia Dortmund with 104 appearances and 38 goals, Sancho signed a five-year contract with Manchester United. He has made 33 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 4 goals.

Romelu Lukaku is the 5th most expensive Manchester United signing. Lukaku joined Manchester United in 2017 from Everton for $93.17m. The Belgium striker spent two years with the club after signing a five-year contract. He made 66 appearances, scoring 28 goals before joining Inter Milan in 2019.
