Casemiro took a surprise switch to Manchester United after the Red Devils agreed on a deal worth €70.6m with Real Madrid. The 30-year-old is Erik Ten Hag’s fourth signing this summer and the second midfielder to join the team. He is among the top earners at Old Trafford, with a weekly wage of £300, 000.

Before Casemiro’s Manchester United deal, it was Allison Becker’s Liverpool deal that topped the list. Allison Becker joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2018 in a deal worth €62.5m. Allison’s Liverpool did not just hit the charts as a Premier League’s top Brazilian signing, but as the most expensive goalkeeper in the world. The 29-year-old joined Liverpool on a long-term contract.
Fred €59m
Fred is third on the chart of the most expensive Premier League signings from Brazil. Fred joined Manchester United from Shakhtar Donetsk in May 2018. He signed a five years contract with the Old Trafford club with an option of a one-year extension. Man United signed the 27-year-old for the sum of €59m. Gabriel Jesus, 25, is fifth on the chart after leaving Manchester City for Arsenal for €52.2m. Gabriel Jesus joined Arsenal in 2022 and has made three appearances for the Gunners, scoring three goals. Jesus is Mikel Arteta’s hit signing and has reportedly signed a five-years-contract with Arsenal that will keep him at the club till 2027. Jesus debuted for the Gunners in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Fabinho joined Liverpool from AS Monaco on 28 May 2018. Although details of Fabinho’s contract duration with Liverpool were not disclosed, the 29-year-old joined the Anfield club in a deal worth €45m. Fabinho made his debut for Liverpool against Paris Saint Germain in a 3-2 Champions League win in September before making his Premier League debut against Huddersfield in October.

Joelington is 7th on the chart of the most expensive Brazilian signings in Premier League history. After spells with Sporting Recife, Hoffenheim, and Rapid Wien m, Joelington joined the Magpies in a record deal valued at €44m in July 2019. Guimaraes is the 9th most expensive Brazilian to join the Premier League. The 24-year-old midfielder compelled Newcastle to break the records by signing the youngster from Lyon. Guimaraes signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Lyon before his switch to Newcastle in January 2022. Guimaraes also signed a similar four-and-a-half-year contract with the Magpies in a deal worth €42.1m – the highest ever transfer fee paid by Newcastle. He came off the bench to make his debut in a 3-1 win over Everton on 8 February.
Firmino €41m
Liverpool finalized Firminio’s deal on July 4, 2015. The Brazilian forward joined the Reds from Germa Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in a €41m deal. Firmino emerged as one of the top strikers in Liverpool. He made his League debut for the club in a 4-1 thrashing of Manchester City at Etihad Stadium.
