Zlatan Ibrahimovic has proven that despite being 38-year-old, he is still a goal-scoring machine. He has scored over 500 goals in his football career and it seems the Sweden football legend is not ready to slow down.
While other superstar footballers like him are busy training in their mansions and hanging out with their families during the coronavirus lockdown, the AC Milan striker has been busy training with Hammarby, a club in the Swedish top-flight league.
Zlatan left Milan in March to his home country when the football season was halted in Italy due to the coronavirus pandemic. Unlike Italy and other parts of Europe, Sweden is not observing a total lockdown, hence some social activities are allowed to take place.
Zlatan has not just been training with Hammarby as a football legend but as a co-owner of the club. He has a 25% stake in the club.
On Friday, April 24, 2020, he took part in an internal friendly at the Tele2 Arena where Hammarby was joined by local clubs Bajans and IK Frej for a combined inter-team friendly.
And in Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s element, he scored one of the goals during the friendly which was broadcasted via the Internet on Dplay Sport’s platform.

“I am very grateful that I am allowed to join the training when everything is closed in Europe, especially in Italy where you’re not allowed training today and you have to be indoor,” Ibrahimovic said before the match.

When Zlatan Ibrahimovic bought a stake in Hammarby, the gesture offended the fans of Malmo, a rival club where Zlatan started his professional football career.
In an attempt to demonstrate how offended the fans were, they gathered themselves and vandalised the statue Malmo built in honour of Zlatan’s achievement at the club.
“I played in Malmo even if I was not welcome there, yet so I chose to play there and help,” he told Dplay.
“I gave them a €100m, it is not difficult to build a team on that – I feel that there I have been very kind, too kind.
“It’s a shame. They want attention and want the media to write about it – it’s at the kindergarten level and we’re bigger than that.
“The statue, it was what it was and because it’s not there now doesn’t mean that my history is turned down – it will stay forever.”
Ibrahimovic could stay in Sweden and continue to train with Hammarby until travel restrictions into Italy are lifted for him to return to Milan.
