Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is set to return to the dugout after his three-year sabbatical

According to Marca, the three times Champions League winner has opened talks with Bayern Munich to become the club’s new manager.

Bayern Munich’s current manager Thomas Tuchel is set to leave at the end of the season after the club agreed to end their collaboration with the former Chelsea boss following a run of dismal of results.

Since the agreement, the Bundesliga giants have been in the hunt for a new manager with high-profile European managers linked to the job.

Zinedine Zidane, who has been off coaching duties since 2021, could replace Tuchel at the Bavarians’ dugout, as per Marca.

However, there are reports linking Germany national team coach Julian Nagelsmann to the job.

According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich, who sacked Julian Nagelsmann as the club’s manager last year, are interested in bringing him back to Allianz Arena.

After his botched spell with the Bavarians, Julian Nagelsmann has been impressive with the German national team. His contract with the Die Mannschaft will expire after 2024 Euros.

According to reports, Bayern Munich hierarchy have intensified moves to bring him back but the German has yet to decide on returning to Allianz Arena.

Meanwhile, Zidane could provide the Bavarians with an alternative should the club fail to bring back Julian Nagelsmann.
