Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Yang Min Hyuk from South Korean club Gangwon FC on a permanent deal for an undisclosed transfer fee.
The 18-year-old talented winger has signed a six-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur, which is expected to end on June 30, 2030.
The new Tottenham Hotspur signing has been extensively compared to South Korean winger Heung Min Son, who took the Premier League by storm with his impressive playing style.
Yang Min Hyuk made his debut in the K League in 2024.
The South Korean winger won the K League Player of the Month for April, May, and June 2024. Since he made his debut this season, Min Hyuk has scored seven goals and created three assists in 24 league matches for Gangwon FC.
Min Hyuk will be the third South Korean player to join Tottenham Hotspur over the years. A South Korean named Lee Young Pyo was the first Korean player to have played for Tottenham Hotspur as a left-back from 2005 to 2008.
During his playing career at Tottenham Hotspur, he failed to score a single goal in 92 appearances for the London club.
The second South Korean is Heung Min Son, who is currently the captain of the London team after Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich last season.
