World Cup-winning United States female soccer star Megan Rapinoe is set to marry Female basketball star Sue Bird, a Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) star.
The Israeli-American basketball star took to her Instagram account with 496 thousand followers to share a picture showing when the American soccer star was proposing marriage to her. The picture was taken at a seashore on October 30.
In the picture, Megan Rapinoe could be seen taking a knee and placing a ring on Sue Bird’s left-hand. The 40-year-old basketball star was seen standing in a body of water.
On the Instagram page of Megan Rapinoe, the soccer star did not share any engagement picture. Instead, she posted a picture of herself when she was younger where she dressed like a male child.
In the caption, the 35-year-old two-time FIFA Women World Cup winner wrote that she started having the urge to dress like a male when she was 5-year-old. She revealed how she has always wanted to be like her elder brother, Brian.
“At the age of five, I announced that I wanted to cut my hair short like Brian’s and only wear boys’ clothes from then on”, Megan Rapinoe wrote.
“I loved my twin, but my brother, who was five years older than us, was everything I wanted to be: funny, clever, cheerful, popular, outgoing, and good at all sports.”

Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird have been in a relationship since 2016. The soccer star and the basketball star confirmed their relationship in 2017 after Megan has ended her relationship with Sera Cahoone who she has proposed marriage to Before they broke up.
