The Black Stars will be hoping to make their fourth participation at football’s biggest tournament in Qatar after missing out on the 2014 World Cup in Russia.

This is despite the fact that their performance at the African Football Confederation (AFCON) in Cameroon was a disaster.
There were also some doubts regarding their triumph over South Africa in the World Cup qualifiers’ second round.
Following Gernot Rohr’s sacking, the Super Eagles appear to be an entirely different team at the AFCON.
The Super Eagles have romped through the group stage with a perfect record under former Nigeria international Augustine Eguavoen, and are looking like serious AFCON contenders.
They’ve come a long way from the team that struggled to beat lesser opponents, with Cape Verde and the Central African Republic being two recent instances.
