Brazilian and Real Madrid forward Rodrygo showed off his ‘PRAY FOR RS’ shirt during the Real Madrid Champions League semi-final second-leg win over Bayern Munich.

The 23-year-old missed a couple of chances for the Los Blancos against the Bavarians. Teetering on the edge of a second consecutive semi-final exit, Carlo Ancelotti turned to his bench to turn around the game.

Espanyol loanee and former Stoke City forward Joselu was the hero of the night as his late double canceled out Alphonso Davies’ strike and turned the game around in a flash to the hosts’ favor.

It ended 2-1 after the final whistle with the home side booking a place at the Wembley final with a 4-3 aggregate victory over the Bundesliga giants.

Rodrygo failed to find the back of the net but was close on several occasions to converting the hosts’ dominance into a goal.

After missing his first clear chance of the game, he pulled up his shirt to cover his face – a perfunctory reflex reaction to the missed chance.

While rolling up the shirt, eagle-eyed fans could spot a caption on his underworn T-shirt which reads; ‘PRAY FOR RS.’

As interpreted by Daily Mail, the inscription on the youngster’s T-shirt was a tribute to flood victims in Rio Grande do Sul in his home country Brazil.

According to reports, about 90 people lost their lives and properties in the deadly natural disaster, and there has been a flood of tributes from Brazilian stars, stakeholders, and public officials, including charity groups and organizations for the victims.

Rodrygo joined in paying tributes to the victims and bringing their story to the global stage by donning the captioned inner T-shirt.

The footballing sensation will be playing in his second Champions League final with Real Madrid and will be aiming to clinch the trophy for the second time after the 2021/22 triumph.
