Gareth Bale has completed a move to MLS side Los Angeles FC after nine years at the Santiago Bernabéu. All eyes will be on the former Real Madrid man when he makes his debut for LAFC, but when will that be?

The latest Los Angeles FC signee grabbed headlines across the globe after he made an announcement on Twitter of his move to the MLS.

However, he will not be the only international superstar on the team. He will be teaming up with Mexican international Carlos Vela – who just signed an extension until 2023 with the Californian club. Also, the club has signed Italian defensive maestro Giorgio Chiellini.

All things being equal, the Welshman will be making his debut for his new club, Los Angeles Football Club, on July 8. Interestingly, the July 8 showdown happens to be a season-defining game as LAFC would be locking horns with their fierce rivals, the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Gareth Bale will be hoping to see his former Real Madrid teammate, Javier Chicharito Hernandez, again. He will take strengths and encouragement from the fact that he would be playing with the majority of the fans being Los Angeles supporters as the game takes place on their home ground – the Banc of California Stadium.

Unlike the English Premier League, Italian Seria A, German Bundesliga, and Spanish La Liga, who are yet to begin the new season, the MLS is already in week 16 of the current season.

The Los Angeles Football Club currently sits top of the log with 33 points from 16 games, and the club hopes that their new additions in, Gareth Bale and Giorgio Chiellini, will help them solidify their grip on the title.

Gareth Bale endured bitter-sweet moments with Real Madrid in his nine years at the club and also recently guided the Wales team to a World Cup return. He joined the Los Angeles Football Club as a free agent and hopes to take his career to the next level with the American giants.

Although the Los Angeles FC team will battle it out against Montreal Whitecaps this weekend, the new arrival has been ruled out of the game to enable him to rest after his transfer. He will, however, be laced and ready to play against Los Angeles Galaxy on July 8.

All eyes will be on Gareth Bale to shine in his debut, which happens to be a Clasico del Trafico. For someone who is used to the El Classico in Spain, football pundits believe Bale will be well prepared for the test.

Many fans are rooting for the Welsh international to score his first goal for the club during the game.
