Paris could soon be boiling with disgruntled fans who may likely protest PSG poor start to the campaign soon.
A lot of changes in the squad; several big-name departures; new signings; new manager; but all is not going well at Parc des Princes.
It is just a matter of time before fans before impatient PSG fans will begin to ask for sundry changes to the team.
Luis Enrique is certainly coming under intense pressure. So far this season, the benchmarks leaves much to be desired. Seven matches into this season, PSG have slumped down to fifth on Ligue 1 table with 12 points. They have won only three matches, drawn three and lost one.
Although they are just two points from League leaders, the Ligue dominoes have not lived up to the billing.
They are usually off the mark each season and are unrivaled giants in the French elite division. Hence, a paltry 12 points from a possible 21 is a performance too underwhelming to be gloss over.
What is happening to PSG?
PSG is struggling this season because of a combination of factors. The team lacks cohesion, has defensive issues, is reliant on key players, lacks leadership, and has had managerial problems. The team has also been struggling with injuries.
It will be interesting to see how PSG responds to these challenges in the second half of the season. The team has a lot of talent, but they need to find a way to play together as a team and to be more consistent.
