Oxford United have made their first signing of the January transfer window after Nathan Holland joined the U’s on loan from West Ham United.
The 21-year-old has been in impeccable form in the Premier League 2, leading the assist charts with seven and scoring twelve goals from just thirteen games. The youngster has also provided two assists from two games for West Ham in Football League Trophy matches.
Holland also started for the Hammers when Oxford knocked the Premier League side out of the Carabao Cup but was substituted before the U’s ran out 4-0 winners. He also made the bench as West Ham knocked Gillingham out of the FA Cup.
Holland speaking on Oxford play routine said, “All the players who took part in that game were very impressed with the way Oxford played in that game and the confidence they showed to play out from the back.”
U’s boss Karl Robinson has previously stated that he wanted another winger, and the arrival of Holland will certainly boost the clubs promotion hopes.
