The catastrophe caused by the outbreak of coronavirus may be more than the world of football has ever imagined. As recently as yesterday, Premier League suspended all games till April 3 and that is still subject to medical advice and conditions at the time.

Meanwhile, the Premier League table is topped by Liverpool Fc with a great potential of winning the league for the first time in a distant memory. It will interest you all to know that the last time Liverpool won the league was back in 1989/90 when the league was still named Barclays Premier League. Most Liverpool fans of the new millennial have never celebrated the Premier League trophy with the team and they look forward earnestly to celebrate as the team is tipped to lift the trophy for the first time.

However, following the suspension of Premier League, West Ham vice-chairman Brady has called for the Premier League for the 2019/2020 to be canceled and declared null and void due to the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus. Brady whose team is just a little outside the relegation zone wants the entire competition to be canceled. Liverpool is topping the chart with 25 points ahead of the second, Manchester City, and just need six more games to seal the trophy.

Quoting the words of Brady while she was speaking with the Sun  said: “no escaping the fact now, football in England is entering its most devastating period in 75 years,”

“There is no dodging the possibility that all levels in the EFL, as well as the Premier League, will have to be canceled and this season declared null and void because if the players can’t play the games can’t go ahead.

“The PL hopes that an interlude of three weeks from today will enable it to restart but that may well be dreamland.

“So what if the league cannot be finished? As games in both the PL and in the EFL are affected, the only fair and reasonable thing to do is declare the whole season null and void.

“Who knows who would have gone down or come up if the games have not actually been played in full?

“A huge blow to Liverpool who might be robbed of their first title in 30 years. “This will be discussed between the PL and the clubs next week at an emergency meeting.”

What will Liverpool fans say about this newest development?
