Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to leave Manchester United for a move to Premier League rivals West Ham United.

According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham United have completed a move for the English right-back. The transfer expert confirmed United and West Ham United have reached an agreement for the player.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s West Ham move marks the end of his five-year contract with Manchester United.

Wan-Bissaka proved crucial in United’s resurgent ride in the 2022-23 season, proving an integral part of the club’s manager Erik ten Hag’s revamp. He made 19 Premier League appearances for the club in the said season.

Last season, despite registering more appearances (22), niggling injury crisis diminished his role, forcing him to drop down the pecking order. However, he will hope to regain momentum in his career following the move to West Ham United.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka career recap

Aaron Wan-Bissaka played as a defender for Manchester United. He joined the club in 2019 from Crystal Palace, where he groomed himself into a full-blown professional football player. He has only played for two clubs – Crystal Palace and West Ham United – in his career.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka stats

Wan-Bissaka has tallied 46 appearances for Crystal Palace in all competitions before joining Manchester United in 2019. At United, he made 190 appearances, comprising 130 Premier League and 60 appearances in other competitions, scoring two goals.

Career awards and honors

Wan-Bissaka has two club trophies – the 2022-23 EFL Cup and the 2023-24 FA Cup with Manchester United. He won Crystal Palace Young Player of the Year in 2017-18 season and the Player of the Year award the next season.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s contract

Aaron Wan-Bissaka signed a new contract extension with Manchester United last season. He penned down a one-year extension which was set to expire after the upcoming 2024-25 campaign.

He is now set to leave behind the one-year deal as he joins West Ham United for a new chapter. His contract with the Hammers have yet to be revealed.

Bournemouth agree deal with Barcelona for Ronald Araujo

In another big transfer update, Bournemouth have reached agreement with Barcelona to sign Ronald Araujo from the club. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Cherries have agreed on a deal worth €10m for Araujo.

Araujo’s slated move to the Premier League from Barcelona is coming a year after he rose up the ranks in Barcelona to become the club’s third captain. However, that happened under the old dispensation which was led by former manager Xavi Hernandez.

With new manager Hansi Flick in charge of the Catalan giants, the Uruguayan right-back has apparently fallen off the pecking order, hence the need to take up a new challenge.

He will be Bournemouth’s fifth signing this summer, joining the likes of Luis Sinisterra, Alex Paulsen, Enes Unal, and Dean Huijsen.

As of the time of filing this report, Ronald Araujo’s contract with the Cherries has yet to be revealed. However, the Uruguay international is likely to sign a long-term contract with the club.
