Timo Werner’s agent is alleged to have met with AC Milan, Atalanta, and Juventus in anticipation of a summer transfer. The German forward’s career, according to Corriere Dello Sport, lies outside of Chelsea, with Italian teams intrigued by his talents.

Chelsea, on the other hand, is now unable to do any transfer transaction due to the club’s continuing search for a new owner. The UK government sanctioned Blues owner Roman Abramovich this month, just days after his plan to sell the club was publicized.

The club is not authorized to do any business until a new owner is certified. This hasn’t deterred Chelsea players from exploring their chances elsewhere, as Werner is believed to be doing right now.

Chelsea purchased the 26-year-old in the summer of 2020, but he has struggled to live up to the hopes in his roughly two seasons at the club. Werner has only registered one Premier League goal this season.

However, he seems to be doing quite admirably for Germany, which upsets some Chelsea fans. During the last international break, the ex RB Leipzig striker scored against Israel and declared after the game that his national team’s style of play suited him more than the Blues.

Werner’s statement was reported to have gone thus “I’m a striker and I always want to score. Things aren’t going the way I would like at Chelsea, so it’s all the better that things are going well here under Hansi Flick. I really enjoy playing football, no matter where I am playing.

He continued “There are differences in the style of play between football at Chelsea and here. Maybe the one at the national team suits me better. Here, I always have scoring chances, I can score goals. I feel very comfortable here.
