In an interview with a Nigerian radio station Brilia FM, Ikechukwu Uche said he believes that Samuel Chukwueze will be a success at his current club Villarreal.

The former Super Eagles star said the 20-year-old winger has the potentials to become one of the best footballers of his generation if he continues to play the way he has been playing.

“He’s a cool kid, he’s good and doing very well at Villarreal,” the former Nigerian international said.

“We just have to help him, and if there’s anything we need to tell him, we will surely do because we got to this stage by listening to people who have been there before us.

“And I think with the way he’s going, he would become one of the best players of his generation.”

Samuel Chukwueze has been keeping pundits talking since he shone like a million star during the 2015 FIFA under 17 World Cup.

Since he broke into Villarreal’s first team in 2018, he has been very impressive. Besides his skilful style of play, he has managed to score 8 goals in 52 appearances for the Spanish club.

Before the 2019-2020 season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Nigerian international has scored four goals and made four assists, to earn a place on the list of 50 youngsters to watch in world football by UEFA’s official website.
