Mason Greenwood made a spectacular debut for Getafe as he sets out for a fresh career start after months on exile.

The England young lad made his debut coming on as a substitute for Getafe in the 77th minute and contributed to Getafe’s winning goal against Osasuna.

While his debut wasn’t showstopping, Greenwood held the promise of a career revamp on both hands with his scintillating performance. He could not find the back of the net for the home side but was instrumental to the winning goal that saw Getafe bag all three points against their Basque opponents.

Greenwood was subbed on by Getafe coach, Bordalas, when the game was tied on a 2-2 draw. Osasuna canceled out Getafe’s lead twice in both halves.

Greenwood’s introduction was a game-changer for the home side as Osasuna wing-backs battled to quelled Greenwood’s pacey and brilliant attacking flair on the right flank for Getafe.

Late in the second half, Osasuna were forced to concede a cornerkick after their defender managed to stop Greenwood from breaking info the box.

From the cornerkick, Maksimovic nailed it for Getafe to give the home side the lead for the third time, and the goal was enough to see Getafe ran out with a narrow win in the five-goal thriller.

While Getafe bagged their three points, the spotlights fell on Mason Greenwood. Few minutes of coming on, the Man United winger forced the pendulum of the game to swing in Getafe’s favor, contributing to the winner.
