AS Roma Players celebrated the birthday of their manager Jose Mourinho in an awesome dressing room scene as the Portuguese manager marked his 60th birthday.
It was a special moment for the Portuguese tactician as he marked his 60th birthday in style amid his players in Roma dressing room.
Roma players and the coaching staff serenaded Jose Mourinho with a birthday cake at the center of the room.
The songs and applause by the players lit the room, with Jose Mourinho at the center of the celebrations.
AS Roma hold Jose Mourinho in high esteem at the club, and there could not have been a better way to demonstrate the club’s reverence for the Portugal-born tactician than the rousing in-house reception, which was later taken over by the players and staff.
Roma went a step further to share the video of the celebrations on the club’s official Twitter Handle joining the players, staff, and the Portuguese’s teeming fans to celebrate the Special One.
After Roma’s unflattering gestures toward Mourinho, the players and staff then held a special moment for the 60-year-old to celebrate and share in the joy of a new milestone in his journey.
Footage of the special happy birthday moment, captured at the end of this post, showed Mourinho entering the dressing room and looking almost irritated initially.
He was a bit happy but gave no smile as the players who have formed a circle around the room, kept singing and clapping for him.
Mourinho looked indifferent to the rousing reception in the dressing room and moved straight to the center of the room where his birthday cake was kept lit with flames hoisted on the specially-designed cake.
He then went to the cake to blow the candles out, before waving to the room.
Mourinho felt a bit awkward amid the clapping and singing by the players as he kept watching. He apparently did not expect the gorgeous scenery he was greeted with when he entered the room.
After blowing off the candlelight, he cut the cake and sliced a piece of it for Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini before having a look at his watch and taking a walk out of the room.
Jose Mourinho was appointed Roma manager on 4th May 2021. He took charge of the team at the start of the 2021/22 football season and won the UEFA Europa Conference League – his first major trophy at the club.
He is one of the most successful and most coveted football managers in Europe. He has managed and won trophies with top European clubs such as Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Inter Milan.
AS Roma are currently 5th on the Serie A table after 19 games. They have won 11 matches, drew 4, and lost 4, garnering 37 points – the same number of points as Lazio and Inter who are 3rd and 4th respectively on the Serie A table.
