Victor Osimhen has broken his silence over the TikTok scandal which has engulfed the media space in the last few days.
Osimhen has reaffirmed his commitment to Napoli, terming his journey in the city of Naples, as exciting.
This is coming days after Napoli released a statement regarding the TikTok video, which many didn’t take in great stride.
The Serie A champions worded a lengthy statement expressing that they never intended to mock Victor Osimhen.
An excerpt from the statement reads: “In any case, if Victor perceived any offense towards him, this was not what the club intended.”
However, many were aggravated with the sounding of the statement, as it didn’t seem like an apology to the Nigerian.
Anyway, Victor Osimhen has stated that he wouldn’t let anyone come between him and Napoli, as the people of Naples have shown him “love and kindness”

His statement reads: “Coming to the City of Naples in 2020 was a wonderful decision for me.
“The People of Napoli have shown me so much love and kindness, and I will not allow anyone to come between us”.
The 24-year-old joined Napoli from Lille on September 1, 2020, for a fee of €75 million, and he has been pivotal to the Italian club’s success in recent years.
Osimhen guided Napoli to the Serie A crown last season, helping the Neapolitans win the title for the first time in 33 years.
The Nigeria international scored 26 goals and provided 5 assists in 32 appearances for the Naples-based club last term.
Osimhen thanks Nigerians for their support
Victor Osimhen also sent out his appreciation to Nigerians for lending out their voice on the matter.
He wrote: “I appreciate Nigerians and everyone for leading their voices to support and reach out to me”.
In concluding his statement, Osimhen urged everyone to spread “unity, respect and understanding”.
The Nigeria international was involved in a rift with manager Rudi Garcia before the spiteful video was shared on TikTok, but that has since been resolved.
Victor Osimhen has always shown his undying love for the people of Naples since he joined the club, and that has been witnessed with his ever-passionate display for Napoli.
He has scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist in 8 appearances for the Neapolitans across all competitions.
Osimhen certainly wouldn’t be short of offers come the January transfer window, as other clubs would be looking to sign him to fortify their attack.
Chelsea are said to be interested in signing him, and they will send in a bid for him in the January transfer window.
Saudi Pro League club, Al Hilal, who approached Napoli for his signature in the 2023 summer transfer window are also still interested in getting his services.
However, he appears to be on good terms with Napoli, and that is good for his football, as it helps to put his mind at rest.
