Futballnews received information that the 22-year-old midfielder’s contract includes a release clause of about €30m. Christoph Baumgartner’s contract is said to still have three years on his contract as his contract will be expiring in 2025.

TSG Hoffenheim’s Christoph Baumgartner now seeks to move away from the Bundesliga club as he wants to develop his career and gain experience in other football leagues. His reported interest to leave the club has been fueled by the fact that his agent, Grass Is Green has recently merged with a Spanish agency, You First.

Christoph Baumgartner struck the back of the net seven times and created one assist in 29 Bundesliga games for TSG Hoffenheim last season and is currently valued at a decent fee of €22m by Transfermarkt.

Christoph Baumgartner also helped Hoffenheim finish ninth place in the Bundesliga standings. Next season, TSG Hoffenheim will be looking to qualify for Europe, and losing a player like Christoph Baumgartner could harm their next season’s ambition.

With the appointment of their new coach, André Breitenreiter, the future of the Austrian remains undecided right now.

However, he will be ready to accept a move should he receive a nice salary package from his potential suitors.

Sevilla have now emerged favorites to sign the 22-year-old Austrian midfielder ahead of the likes of Atletico Madrid and Manchester United since he shares the same agency with Sevilla player, Oliver Torres.

The remaining months of the transfer window will determine the outcome of his future and decision. Hopefully, he gets to make the right decision for his football career.
