After joining the club from Manchester City last summer, IIkay Gundogan has asked to leave Barcelona, according to the Spanish outlet Sport. It is yet unclear why he has called for his Barcelona exit.
However, there are suggestions he is out of favor in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona plans. He was left out of the team’s squad for the 2024-25 La Liga opener against Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium.
Arne Slot is not ready to sell Gomez
Liverpool manager Arne Slot is reportedly not ready to part ways with right-back Gomez. Gomez fell off the pecking order since the time of former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
He was linked to a possible exit from the club this summer, but the Reds’ new manager Slot, reportedly wants him to continue his career at the club and possibly fight his way back into the team.
Jose Mourinho is ready to strike a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for Celso
Former Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Tottenham’s midfielder Giovani Lo Celso. According to the Express, Mourinho, who is currently Fenerbache’s head coach, is ready for a deal with Spurs for the 28-year-old.
Meanwhile, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Mourinho will face competition from rival clubs for Lo Celso. Premier League side Aston Villa are also said to be interested in the player. La Liga club Real Betis and Roma are also a big mention in the race for the Argentine midfielder.
Victor Osimhen transfer news update
Chelsea are said to be advancing in talks with Napoli to sign Victor Osimhen. However, at the time of filing this report, it is understood Napoli have yet to peck down their asking price for the player.
Chelsea are still exploring a loan alternative for Osimhen but the player has made his intentions clear that he will not be open to a loan move to Chelsea except a permanent deal.
Conor Gallagher and Joao Felix transfer news update
Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are close to agreeing on a deal for the return of Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid after initial transfer deadlock. According to Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs are likely to reach an agreement on a deal next week. As part of the deal, Joao Felix will move to the London outfit, having agreed to return to the club for the second time after his previous 2022-23 loan campaign.
