Al Ittihad are interested in signing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool, and they are prepared to table a too-good-to-refuse bid for the Egyptian.

Despite Liverpool maintaining their stance that Salah is not for sale, it appears monetary reasons might force them to alter their stance.

The timing apparently might not be favorable for Jurgen Klopp’s side, given that the transfer window shuts on September 1, 2023.

What could affect Mohamed Salah from signing for Al Ittihad?

This factor might affect the deal from pulling through, but Al Ittihad’s £118 million offer looks to be a master stroke.

Al Ittihad will be competing in the 2023 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup which would be hosted in Saudi Arabia and signing Salah would be a great one for them.

Mohamed Salah is their primary target before the window closes, as they see many potential benefits from his arrival.

The Egpyt international is the most well-known Arab athlete in the world, and joining Al Ittihad will gather more eyes to the league.

The Saudi Pro League houses football great, Cristiano Ronaldo, Brazil star, Neymar and Real Madrid legend, Karim Benzema amongst many others stars.

However, they aren’t relenting in their pursuit of acquiring more stars to the top-tier league in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Pro League clubs have made their presence felt in Europe, and especially at Anfield, signing several notable players, including; Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, and Roberto Firmino.

He was also instrumental in helping the Merseyside-based club win their Premier League title.

Mohamed Salah has also won the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and UEFA Champions League title with Liverpool.

Salah currently earns about £350,000 per week at Anfield, and he would most likely see his wage significantly increase if he joins A Ittihad.

His current deal with the Reds expires in 2025, but reports indicate that Liverpool will prefer to sell Mohamed Salah next summer.

The Egyptian has scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists in 3 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season.
