Barcelona transfer news: Nico Williams 

Barcelona is closing in on the deal to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao. The La Liga giants have reportedly reached an agreement with the youngster on personal terms and are ready to trigger his £48million release clause.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with Nico Williams but have failed, as the 21-year-old only wanted Barcelona to continue his career in La Liga. 

Manchester United Transfer News: Joao Neves 

French Ligue 1 giants PSG have entered the race for Joao Neves amidst Manchester United’s long-standing interest in the player. United have been the frontrunners in the race for the Portuguese midfielder to succeed Casemiro, who is linked to a transfer exit to Saudi Arabia. They are now set to face stiff competition from PSG, who are also hopeful of signing the youngster.

Neves has four years left on his Benfica contract with a release clause of £105million. Reports claim Manchester United have offered the youngster five times his Benfica salary.

Manchester United to complete Mathijs de Ligt move after Euro 2024 

Meanwhile, United are hoping to complete a move for out-of-favor Bayern Munich defender, Mathijs de Ligt, after the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament. Despite missing out on Champions League football next season, United have been buoyed by De Ligt’s readiness to switch to the Old Trafford outfit. They have reached an agreement on personal terms with the player but are awaiting Bayern to sanction the move.

After refusing to renew ex-player, Raphael Varane’s, contract, United hope to have the Dutch defender replace the French footballer.

Scott McTomminay to leave Manchester United 

Scott McTomminay could come to the end of his spell with Manchester United this summer. According to Football Insider, the Red Devils are ready to accept offers for McTomminay but want to reinforce the midfield department before considering bids for the Scotland international.

Nuno Tavares leaves Arsenal on loan. 

Nuno Tavares will continue his career away from the Emirates next season. The Portuguese defender is now set for a loan move to Lazio after Arsenal accepted the offer with a buy-out clause between £6million million and £7million.

Chelsea back off from Dani Olmo move 

Chelsea have backed off from their move for Dani Olmo. The Blues have been a big mention in the race for the 26-year-old RB Leipzig forward but have decided not to trigger his £50million release clause. 

Other top European clubs  have been linked with the player, who has three years left on his Leipzig contract.

Olympique Marseille in shock move for Eddie Nketiah

Ligue 1 outfit, Olympique Marseille, are interested in a move for Arsenal midfielder, Eddie Nketiah.

The 25-year-old played a bit-part role in Arsenal’s 2023–24 campaign and is unlikely to nail down a regular spot with the team in the upcoming campaign. He has three years left on his £45,000-a-week contract and could switch to the Ligue 1 side to save his career. 

Meanwhile, the Ligue 1 outfit, who are now under the hands of Roberto De Zerbi, have yet to submit an offer for the player as of the time of filing this report.
