Manchester United transfer news

Bruno Fernandes’ Manchester United future is dominating the headlines. The Portuguese, who has crashed out of Euro 2024 after Portugal’s quarter-final loss to France in the shootouts, is reportedly open to Man United exit.

Transfer news

According to Teamtalk, Manchester United have granted Fernandes permission to go ahead and open talks with Saudi clubs. Two Saudi clubs are reportedly interested in Bruno Fernandes but he has two years left on his Manchester United contract.

The 29-year-old could be the latest Manchester United player to move to Saudi Arabia after Cristiano Ronaldo and Allex Telles.

Also, United are said to be in the race for Hull City’s young midfielder, Jaden Philogene, 22 but are set to face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace who are also interested in the player.

Manchester City transfer news: Kevin De Bruyne

While United are bracing for a possible exit of Bruno Fernandes, Manchester City could also lose Kevin De Bruyne this summer. Teamtalk reports that the Belgium international has reached a verbal agreement with 2022-23 Saudi Pro League champions, Al-Ittihad, to join the club this summer.

It is understood Manchester City could be open to Kevin De Bruyne’s exit after a not-too-stellar run with the Etihad outfit last season. However, it is understood Pep Guardiola still considers him key to the squad.

Kevin De Bruyne has a year left on his £104million-worth contract with Manchester City. He had previously reiterated his desire to move to Saudi Arabia due to the jumbo paycheck for footballers in the Gulf state.

Teamtalk adds it is only Manchester City’s approval that is left to sanction De Bruyne’s move to Saudi Arabia as the 33-year-old has already made up his mind.

Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool’s future still uncertain

Mohamed Salah’s future with Liverpool is still uncertain. The Egyptian forward has yet to sign a new contract despite having only one year left on his current deal.

Transfer news

According to the Mirror, Liverpool are still hopeful of having the 32-year-old pen down a new contract with the club.

Salah has been linked to a move to Saudi Arabia since last summer. As of the time of his filing this report, his future at the Merseyside outfit is uncertain.

Other transfer news report

All is now set for Aston Villa midfielder Philippe Coutinho to return to his boyhood side Vasco da Gama.

The former Liverpool star reportedly had a lengthy discussion with Aston Villa hierarchy and two parties have agreed to a mutual termination of the 32-year-old’s contract.

Arsenal have reached an agreement with Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori on personal terms. The two sides have agreed to a five-year deal until 2029 but Bologna have yet to sanction the move.

Chelsea are set to complete another signing this summer. The Blues have reportedly agreed a 14m euro (£11.8m) to sign 20-year-old Portugal Under-20s defender Renato Veiga from Basel.

Meanwhile, the Blues’ £42m bid for Samu Omorodion has been turned down by Atletico Madrid. The La Liga outfit reportedly want an offer to the tune of £70m for the 20-year-old forward.

West Ham are reportedly still pursuing a move for Alexander Sorloth. The 28-year-old Norwegian striker reportedly has a £37million release clause attached to his deal with Villarreal and could be available for a move should the Premier League club trigger the clause.

Tottenham defender, Emerson Royal, has emerged as a top target for Barcelona, who want to re-sign the player to boost their defensive options for the next campaign.
